The problem settings that I always tweak first if I have performance issues with an ENB are UseSelfIntersecting and SourceTextureScale & ResolutionScale. This is what Silent Horizons' ambient occlusion settings for CW look like out of the box:

In terms of performance adjustments in any ENB presets, the biggest offenders are ambient occlusion (SSAO_SSIL), depth of field and any prepass shaders that the ENB may include.Īmbient occlusion can be tweaked in the in-game ENB menu, but it's better to edit the enbseries.ini file directly. Set it to High, which is perfectly fine, and be sure to choose bethini recommended settings from the options on the bottom-left. You don't need to leave bethini cranked to Ultra. Just in case you need to know my specs Ryzen 3600 1660 super 16 gb ram.Īlso I'm just playing at 1080 since my graphics card is doo doo. Then I turn down dof and iusy randomly go from there hoping I'll figure out a Magic solution until I've butchered my whole ass ENB. I usually just set my bethini to high and turn the recommended enb preset settings off in the ini. Is there a general best practice to tweaking an ENB? Because I do not know what to tweak for best increases or what is massively impact full. Which I guess brings me to my next question.Īs far as tweaking performance, how is the best way to do it? Like just install a lower preset or turn down options on a full quality preset till I'm content?Īlso should I just leave my bethini to ultra or crank that stuff down first and get a full enb? Silent horizon is my favorite so far, even tho I don't find it dark enough and I have some performance issues. I'd also prefer if they had other options for the weather mod than jusy CW, because I dislike the extreme fog weathers especially up close I've tried all of the Rudy ones and firemanaf but they all just don't look right with my visual mods or have something off. Most ENBs jusy feel super bright and "bloomy". I really want to find something that is dark but super Bleak and desaturated. I been on the struggle bus for a couple of days trying to find a right ENB.
